This is a Full Time Opportunity. 

General Description

Supervises, lead, oversees, coach and develop the Real Estate & Fixed Assets Accounting team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create development plans, complete and discuss performance evaluations, ensure fulfillment of all operational/regulatory personnel processes and requirements.
  • Reward and recognize good performances and create action plans for low performers.
  • Monitor guidelines and processes to maintain accuracy regarding real estate & fixed assets transactions.
  • Manage the EOM closing process, including the review of accruals, variance explanations and/or notes to financial statements.
  • Prepare and/or review reports to be submitted to Senior Management. Conduct oral presentation to Senior Management and/or across the Organization.
  • Management weekly and monthly meetings participation.
  • Oversight of appropriate execution of SOX controls and the timely response to internal and external audit requests.

The candidate must keep up to date on new accounting pronouncements and regulations that may have an impact in Real Estate & Fixed Assets Accounting and should exercise good time management to meet established deadlines. The Candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving and resolution capabilities to maintain up to date systems and to maintain efficiency and accuracy among all the unit processes. Must be capable of leading system changes, new processes integration, etc. Should be able to optimize department processes, build lasting relationships with orders within and outside the unit. Should demonstrate high customer service level standards. Should be analytical and decisive with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting

Experience

At least 2 years of related experience as Supervisor. SAP and ARIBA experience preferable.  

Certifications / Licenses

Other Qualifications

  • Knowledge and skills in real estate and fixed assets accounting processes, in analysis of financial information and accounting pronouncements.
  • Strong planning, organizing and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in English and Spanish. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Availability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
