General Service Worker (seasonal)

General Description

The General Service Worker supports daily yard operations by maintaining control of vehicles received at the lot and ensuring their safe movement and organization. The position also delivers excellent service to internal and external customers while supporting the overall efficiency of lot operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive customers delivering vehicles and verify in the system that the loan belongs to Popular using the VIN number, license plate, among others.
• Inspect vehicles and complete the Vehicle Condition Report and other required documentation into the system.
• Receive vehicle keys and move vehicles to the lot.
• Prepare weekly inventory reports.
• Transport a high volume of vehicles per week from the lot to the sales area.
• Support other operational duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma

Experience

Customer service experience.
At least one (1) year of related experience, preferable.
Experience driving both automatic and standard (manual) transmission vehicles..

Other Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Puerto Rico Driver's License
• Customer service oriented
• Effective oral and written communication skills in Spanish (advanced level) and English (basic level).
• Strong organizational skills.
• General knowledge of automobiles. (makes and models, basic maintenance, jump-starting procedures, etc,)
• Ability to identify problems, analyze their cause and apply rules to real situations.
• Excellent willingness to understand clients, be empathetic and explain complex situations.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external peers and clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to accurately enter data into computer systems.

Work Schedule

On-site
Monday to Friday- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Flexibility to work non-business hours ,holidays, and weekend when needed.
