Brooklyn 5th Avenue NY Mgmt

Support the New York Metro branch network by managing and growing a book of business consisting of Mass Affluent clientele (investible assets from 150k – 500k). Proactively profile clients through face to face and virtual meetings to cross-sell various bank products and to move clients up-market through referrals to Popular Private Client.

In this position, you will:


  • Retain and grow an assigned book of business as well as sourcing and developing prospects and new clients for this segment
  • Achieve sales targets in a variety of metrics including but not limited to deposit growth, investment AUM, personal lending, residential mortgage and commercial lending.  Attain a high level of client satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities and refer to internal partners including Popular Private Client, Popular Investments, Popular Mortgage, and Business Banking
  • Research and investigate available retail banking products, investment, and insurance opportunities to determine whether they fit into financial plans.  Contributes team efforts to accomplish and/or exceed program goals

  • Confidently build effective, trust-based relationships with clients to provide personalized financial services by listening and uncovering their needs to gain in-depth knowledge of client’s financial priorities and servicing according to customer’s needs
  • Cultivate internal partnerships with Treasury Management, Private Banking, Wealth Management, and Branch teams to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients and expand client relationships and cross-selling

To be considered, you will need:


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and/or three years or more of experience in banking industry sales is required
  • Licenses: Life Insurance, Series 7 and 65 or 66 required
  • Ability to positively interact with customers in difficult and demanding situations and use various interpersonal styles and communication methods depending on customer and situation, to gain acceptance of a product or service
  • Highly capable of effectively defining problems, searching for root causes, and recommending actionable solutions
  • Working knowledge of banking laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the following skills: client interviewing, sales, consultative sales, proposals preparation and presentation
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally
