Operations Analyst
General Description
Operations Analyst is responsible to performed Account Receivable reconciliations, investigations and support process improvements to ensure business excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyzed, review and/or refer reconciliations items accounts in the established period as assigned.
- Maintain an organized record of the referred reconciliation items and their follow-ups to Insurance, Brokerage Companies.
- Prepare, document, and submit monthly income accruals related to items pending in the reconciliation.
- Maintain communication with the business and ensure that cases included in the accrual are billed and removed from the accrual during the next month.
- Support the processes of the Investigation & Analysis unit, particularly in the functions of checks payments, registrations, and printing.
- Responsible for identifying all cases that must be reported under the Unclaimed Funds account. Preform different alternate procedures to reach the customers.
- Design, develop, implement, and support improvement projects for the Insurance Business.
- Identify and make recommendations for any processes that need to be modified.
- Identify and use the available tools and programs to make improvements to existing processes.
- Make sure that Popular Risk business makes the checks requisitions to the insurance companies for the disbursement of COBRA payments received in Popular Risk.
- Responsible for the balances of the PR Government insurance commissions of the Account Receivable Account.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience
At least one or two years of related experience.
Other Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills.
- PC skills including knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Detail oriented with analytical aptitude.
- Effective communication and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi task, and meet work plan deadlines.
