Project Manager- Transformation Management Office (TMO)

 

General Description

 

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities related to projects of the Transformation Management Office to ensure the office goals are accomplished within the defined scope, time, budget, and quality parameters established.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the oversight, management and completion of strategic projects related to the maturity of the transformation management office.
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, maintains documentation, plans and reports, monitors, and summarizes progress.
  • Acts as the point of contact and communicate projects status adequately to all participants.
  • Candidate is responsible for leading projects from initial idea and planning and through the implementation processes.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Collaborates extensively with all contributors and communicating expectations throughout the project, providing daily and weekly updates to key stakeholders.
  • Maintains and gives follow up to project teams.
  • When applicable, controls and approves consultant hours invested in the project.
  • Approves invoices from vendors regarding services rendered by third parties. Oversights and coordinates activities, resources, and equipment’s to accomplish benefits and goals in the most efficient way. Ensures resource availability and allocation.
  • Promptly escalates issues which cannot be resolved.
  • May lead cross-functional teams.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but usually may lead the work of others.

 

Education

 

Bachelor or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Information Systems or Business Administration.

 

Experience

At least seven (7) years of experience in project management. Experience with portfolio management.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate objectives, inspire, motivate, and maintain alignment across multiple teams from different divisions.  
  • Strong business acumen, including industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units.
  • Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Proficiency in seeing milestones through to deadlines.
  • Ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High degree of business acumen with a generalist approach and ability to understand depth and breadth across a variety of topics.
  • Advanced Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities to overcome obstacles.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and desire to be part of a high-functioning team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)

PMI Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Certification

PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certification

Lean Six Sigma Certification

Certified Scrum Master

Certified Product Manager (CPM)

ITIL Processes Certification
