General Description

Popular is actively seeking an SAP BI Solution Architect to support our diverse range of BI and Data Analytics projects. The role focuses on developing, modeling, and maintaining a company-wide SAP business data warehouse to enable end-users to extract and analyze business information from various data sources using the Popular SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical data architecture and the ability to engineer end-to-end solutions using SAP Datasphere, SAC, and S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and oversee the execution of enterprise-wide business intelligence, data analysis, warehousing, and data governance initiatives related to SAP products.

• Translate business needs into detailed Business Intelligence requirements, including creating functional documentation, process flows, business rule definitions, and outlining assumptions, risks, and other elements related to Data Architecture and Business Intelligence solutions.

• Identify other data spaces within Popular to extract or supply information through connectors, fulfilling business requirements. Design and architect the required ETL, collaborating with other corporate areas.

• Design aggregated data domains within Datasphere to consolidate information and support reporting needs with SAC or other data presentation layer tools.

• Monitor ETL/connectors and other data flows to identify and rectify problems with integrations.

• Collaborate with S/4HANA functional analysis to understand data requirements for extraction purposes.

• Interface with programming staff in developing custom SAP Datasphere reports and data extractors.

• Ensure adherence to all technical standards, as well as comprehensive and accurate documentation, both technical and functional.

• Maintain data infrastructure security, reliability, and performance standards.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in implementing SAP BI solutions.

• Experience in development within SAP warehouse platforms, including Datasphere, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA, as well as extraction from various data sources.

• Expertise in data lakes, data warehouses, ETL processes, and integrations.

• Proven project experience in advanced modeling concepts, such as Analytic Views, Attribute Views, Hierarchies, Creating Restricted & Calculated Columns, Filter Operations, Variables, Calculation Views, Scripts, and Procedures.

• Strong expertise in Data Modeling, Data Cleansing, Data Governance, and Data Quality, utilizing data engineering techniques.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
