Popular Private Client - FL

This role supports and coordinates the overall operations of the South Florida Popular Private Client (PPC) group.  In collaboration with Branch Administration, and management, the Branch Supervisor communicates bank policy and procedures to PPC team, and maintains a high level of operational effectiveness and adherence to Popular’s compliance and corporate guidelines. 

In this position, you will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the PPC South Florida business.
  • Provide exceptional client services by promptly responding to inquiries and requests pertaining to client accounts and partner with the assigned PPC group to ensure an efficient business environment.
  • Serve as first line of escalation and issue resolution on a daily basis; escalate larger issues to Branch Administration and Management.
  • Coordinate account maintenance by working closely with service officers and Branch Administration in order to provide timely and streamlined service for private banking clients
  • Serve as primary liaison with BSA team, proactively identifying unusual activity and leading inquiries and resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal / external auditors on compliance auditing.
  • Adheres to the prescribed security controls to protect the bank against criminal and fraudulent
  • Generate, review and disseminate various types of reports to include, but not limited to: large balances, overdrafts, new clients, closed accounts, ledger reports, and SFL PPC related activity.
  • Assist PPC group with wires, new account applications, and documentation.
  • Maintain a pristine looking facility and fully functioning technology; immediately escalate any issues to support network to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

To be considered, you will need:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) desirable in Business Administration or Finance/Accounting from four-year college or university and 2 or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
