Closing Officer
Popular Association Loan Closing Mgmt
The Closing Officer coordinates and performs closing of commercial loans. Ensures required documentation, terms and conditions meet compliance requirements. Schedules loan closing and compiles and types closing documents by performing the following duties.
In this position, you will:
- Review approved mortgage loans to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing, such as purchase of private mortgage insurance.
- Call borrower, real estate broker, and title company to request specified documents, such as receipt for payment of outstanding tax bill.
- Verify accuracy and consistency of specifications on documents, such as title abstract and insurance forms.
- Call borrower, broker, and other specified individuals to arrange time and date for closing.
- Answer questions regarding closing requirements.
- Enter numbers and calculate loan interest and principal payment, and closing costs.
- Type closing documents. Assemble documents for delivery to title company, real estate broker, or lending officer for closing.
- Record loan information in log and on government reporting forms.
- Compile closed loan forms for delivery to marketing department for sale to investors.
To be considered, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration from four year college or university;
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: Commercial and consumer credit regulations, policies, and procedures; Loan analysis, restructuring, and documentation; Collection Techniques and Structure financing analysis.
