General Description
Manage and oversee the Project Management Lifecycle activities, providing guidance, and supporting the Program and Project Managers, understanding policies, standards, and processes, and ensuring implementation in the projects/programs under our umbrella, and collaborating with other units’ leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Improve competency levels of existing project and program managers, identifying skills gaps and create plans to close those gaps.
- Monitor program reporting and collaborate with the team in reporting to Senior leads and stakeholders.
- Maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking across programs, and projects, and provide visibility across involved teams.
- Ensure lessons learned are logged and remediations implemented as part of the project closure ensuring continuous improvements in our way of working.
- Incite a team player, creative and healthy culture across the internal team and between project teams.
Strategic:
- Guarantee a successful implementation of the Digital Program Management Hub strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
- Establish in coordination with stakeholders the priorities to deliver strategic deliverables.
- Evaluate and recommend key decisions regarding project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure that stakeholder conflict in terms of priorities is resolved in quick time.
- Benefits realization to be a key metric in project success evaluation.
Operational:
- Ensure that the following body of works are executed by each one of the programs/projects leads:
- Ensure scope is clear for each of the components of the project team members (internal and/or external).
- Allocate resources effectively according to knowledge and skills needed for the success of the implementation.
- Enforce quality standards since the early phases of the project applying the respective standards for security, compliance, and performance.
- Maintain healthy communication and relationship between teams involved in the project and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective orchestration of all the activities across the life of the project considering the adequate use of time and resources, and delivery of the artifacts required in each phase.
- Maintain the logs associated to project's risks, actions, decisions and issues.
- Anticipate and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact to project outcomes.
- Understand the project financials and maintain updated the recurrent reports.
- Assure a seamless implementation with the appropriate mechanism with the involved areas.
- Consider this mindset across the phases of the projects and once implemented the project.
- Ensure adequate documentation with the respective standards.
- Overseeing the development of the activities across the life of the project, warranting the activities are held according to Bank’s standards and procedures.
- Guarantee efficiency across the activities needed through the life of the project.
- Provoke improvements in existing project management policies, activities, and processes.
- Continuously evaluate projects they comply with current standards for the respective deliverables across project stages and processes used.

Establish oversight method or mechanisms for the active review of programs/projects’ performance within portfolio, ensuring efforts are on track. Provides executive visibility into performance, key risks/ issues for projects within portfolio.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but usually may lead the work of others.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Experience
Ten+ years of experience in project management, with five+ (5) years of experience in projects related to: Information Security, Information Technology systems design, installation, configuration, and maintenance (Software Development Life Cycle) or IT Infrastructure and Operations (I/O). Experience implementing Software as a Services (SaaS) is a plus.
Certifications / Licenses
Certifications are highly desirable but not required.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Certification
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Manager (CPM), or ITIL Processes Certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's)
- Strong business acumen: ability to understand the needs and concerns of business stakeholders and colleagues and respond promptly and effectively to stakeholder requests. Ability to conduct analysis on work procedures, business results, and recommends changes to improve the effectiveness of the business's management.
- Communication skills: effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients. Highly develop written and verbal communications skills in English. Presents numerical data effectively. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent report-writing and presentation skills. Polished in preparing presentations, executive summaries, and business reports in English for executive audiences.
- Analytical skills: Stays focused on main issues, prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with timely completion of assignments. Collects, research and complements data; Synthesizes complex or diverse information. Demonstrates attention to detail; Applies design principles; Generate creative solutions. Strong quantitative, research and analytical skills. Experience with data analysis, persuasive and informative writing, workload management, and process management.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.
- Project Management: Ability to prioritize and work with multiple projects and tasks with minimum supervision; self-direct and task switch between strategic and tactical initiatives regularly. Capacity to achieve results according to plan ensuring the expected quality. Excellent organization capacity to define priorities, meet deadlines, and flexible to change. Knowledge on project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management and status reports. Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
- Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge on budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, and regulations. Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly.
- Computer and Technological Skills: Proficient in MS Office 365 such as: MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio. Experience with tracking and project management tools such as: JIRA; data visualization and design tools such as: Power BI, Canva among others is desired.
