Sr. Credit Analyst US
Commercial Credit - Florida
We are currently searching for a Sr. Credit Analyst US to join our Commercial Credit team. In this position you will be responsible for underwriting new commercial requests and renewals, including the bank's most complex requests for various lines of business with an emphasis on Commercial & Industrial, Multi-Family and Commercial Real Estate, and perform annual financial reviews of existing commercial relationships.
In this position, you will:
- Analyze and assess applicant financial status, strengths, credit, industry, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan, including the following:
- Spread financials and perform projections and/or proformas as well as sensitivity analysis.
- Review and assess supporting reports related to the transactions, such as appraisals, environmental, inspections, field audits, plan and cost review, etc.
- Work with Portfolio Manager and Relationship Manager to obtain necessary information. Give Relationship Manager feedback on issues and suggest potential structures and resolutions.
- Manage and prioritize multiple deals at the same time, in order to provide a good client experience.
- Occasionally go on joint calls with Relationship Manager.
- Make recommendations on credits to the person with appropriate lending authority.
- Use lending authority on credits underwritten by another Credit Analyst.
- Prescreen new deals.
- Help train other credit analysts, and cross train in multiple bank products.
- Monitor and test loan covenants for existing credit relationships.
- Ensure that all exceptions to the bank's lending policy are noted and that the proper level of approval is obtained.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the bank's lending policy, as well as interagency regulations.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the Line of Business.
To be considered, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college.
- Five or more recent years of commercial credit underwriting experience within a bank.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and time management
