Pop Assoc Deposit Mgm

Popular Association Banking (PAB), a business division of Popular Community Bank, has a rich and extensive history in the community association banking industry. We are proud of our longstanding legacy as one of the preeminent nationwide leaders in providing loans to community associations, condominiums and homeowners associations. 

We are currently searching for a Deposit Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic Popular Association Banking team!  You will be primarily responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day activities of our Association Banking Deposit Operations Team. 

In this position, you will:

  • Manage and supervise the following functions within the Department to include but not be limited to; Preparing and scanning courier deposits; Administering supersede signature cards; Processing various types of account maintenance, such as stop payments, fee reversals, research lost items and provide copies of statements and deposits to customers;  Opening new accounts and process account closings; Ensuring the department adheres to the highest level of customer service to our clients to include customer service calls.
     
  • Assist in establishing unit goals and action plans. Assign duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and improve work effectiveness.
     
  • Directly supervise all employees within the unit.   Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Popular’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
     
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of employees. Monitors staff productivity and recommends policy changes or training to improve results. Assist employees in managing elevated customer issues.  Maintains harmony among employees and resolves grievances.
     
  • Assure completion of documents according to all banking regulations and Popular’s policies.  Ensures that standard operating procedures are followed. 
     
  • Promote employee’s training and career development.  Manage controllable expense accounts. Promote and guide employees to serve clients according to service standards when opening accounts, providing customers with information, and resolving banking problems for customers, within other duties.  May intervene on complex customers’ banking problems. 
     
  • Serve as lead for Deposit Operations team on any internal and external audit examinations.
     

To be considered, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  Bachelors Degree preferred.
     
  • Minimum of five (5) year banking experience with a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience managing a team of at least 3 employees.
     
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Programs, Excel and Word.
     
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
