We are currently searching for a Branch Manager  with excellent management and branch sales experienc to join our dynamic team!  This position manages all aspects of a branch. Accountable for financial performance (P&L), new business development, customer experience, coaching and complying with all policies and procedures. In-depth knowledge and relationships within the community they serve.  Executive presence coupled with authenticity and thoughtfulness in approach are critical for fit for the role. Emphasis is placed on ensuring that the branch achieves budgeted results and effectively manages risk.   Responsible to develop new business with a focus on small business loans and further expand existing business relationships while attracting new money by performing the following duties:

In this position, you will:

  • Lead all sales activities for the branch, from sourcing new client relationships and expand existing client relationships by bringing the full suite of products to the client.


  • Institute a sales and service culture with a sharp focus on providing clients with a best in class customer experience that leaves a mark of authenticity, warmth, competence and simplicity.


  • Build and manage a robust branch loan and deposit sales pipeline. Review reporting and provide consistent feedback to all employees on performance against sales targets.


  • Develop a strong community network of local leaders and business to promote the branch's active involvement within the community.


  • Mentor and coach staff through leadership by example of Popular’s Institutional values: Social Commitment, Customer, Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, Our People, Performance.


  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating operations of a branch, including train and manage teams to adhere to operational procedures, recruitment, expense management, etc.


  • Fully accountable for branch assessment results, audits (internal or external), and BSA efforts. Acts as primary escalation point for decisions and issues within branch. 

To be considered, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and/or five years or more of experience in Retail Branch operations, business development, sales and managing employees or equivalent related experience and training. Prior experience as Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager is preferred. 


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Excel analysis required. Knowledge of the following: Commercial and consumer credit regulations, policies, and procedures; Loan analysis, restructuring, and documentation; Collection Techniques and Structure financing analysis.


  • Knowledge on budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, regulations, objectives, and initiatives according to the job’s responsibilities.  Ability to establish, conduct and track (audit) operational processes properly, and implement changes.


  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations; Retail, Automobile, Mortgage Consumer Lending and Leasing products and services; Branch operations; Foreign currency transactions, where applicable.


  • Demonstrates knowledge in the following skills: client interviewing, consultative sales, proposals preparation, and presentation.   Knowledge of industry applicable laws and regulations.
