Commercial Real Estate NYM III

We are currently looking for a COMMERCIAL LENDER to join our Commercial Banking team. In this position you will generate business relationships and be responsible for the development and maintenance of credit and non-credit relationships with commercial customers, corporate accounts and potential customers while rendering quality service in accordance with bank goals to attain growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.


In this position, you will:

  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial customer portfolios and managing the customer experience of these portfolios. These created portfolios should have a heavy emphais on deposits as well as loans.
  • Visit with clients and prospective clients regularly, interview and analyze the financial structure of customers and prospects and recommend products or applicable services.
  • Compiles loan package, financial proposals and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant including loan amount, loan term, pricing, fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.
  • Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan.  Corresponds with customers throughout the loan process and serves as liason between customer and the credit team to resolve questions regarding application information.
  • Review and analyze commercial loan reports, direct liability, non-performing, new loans and payment.  Assures timely loan closing and funding activities.
  • Build effective relationships and trust with clients and potential clients by listening to and uncovering their needs and educating them about the bank products and services that are most appropriate for their situation.  

To be considered, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial credit with an established portfolio of Commercial customers.
  • Effective sales ability and persuasiveness.
