General Description

As a Trainer, you will partner with the L&D unit, HRSP's, designated liaisons to support business through learning needs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver ILT training courses with an emphasis on software system implementation, banking products, services, policies and procedures in the NY/NJ and Florida Regions as needed using a variety of training methodologies and techniques to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs.  
  • Design and develop course materials for classes such as participant and quick reference guides, exercises, and other learning tools.
  • Maintain curriculum updated (course design, content, activities, and guides) to ensure compliance with corporate policy and procedures.
  • Build partnership with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to bridge gaps in knowledge/skills and to enhance overall results for each division.
  • Discuss in-class performance issues with the L&D Supervisor. May be involved in coaching discussions and/or corrective action process if necessary.
  • Assess training effectiveness through learning survey results, business outcomes, management feedback and branch visits for further action upon findings.
  • Coordinate all training delivery logistics in accordance with course design and established guidelines including scheduling, audience identification, materials, attendance tracking and facilities.
  • Coordinate with external and internal resources/facilitators all the scheduling for the assigned learning activities.
  • Plan, prepare and monitor the production of all training materials for each session. 
  • Provide on-site support to facilitators to guarantee that the learning experience occurs as designed.
  • Administer, score, record and report result of different course assessments as defined by internal processes and guidelines.
  • Support the administration of the training courses delivery (push / pull) through the LMS (Success Factors) according to the corporate centralized strategy.
  • Prepare reports and presentations of L&D key performance indicators (KPI’s) on a monthly and quarterly basis. 
  • Other responsibilities may include management of invoices and program budget and support some e-learning design.
  • Maintain inventory of training library books and materials.
  • Collaborate with special projects and other duties as required.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education or Industrial Psychology.

 

Certifications / Licenses

Certifications in facilitation, instructional design, human resources, project management or other is desirable.

 

Experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in designing and facilitating training sessions is desirable.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Facilitation skills: Track record in facilitation and presentation skills. Able to present ideas effectively one-on-one, virtually and with a large group. Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and in various settings.
  • Instructional design: Knowledge in developing content using practical adult learning methodologies (ADDIE, SAM)
  • Computer and technological skills: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word). Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (Success Factors is a plus). A level of proficiency in eLearning tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Photoshop/Illustrator and Flash is highly desirable. 
  • Project Management: Ability to work with multiple projects and tasks with minimum supervision.  Capacity to achieve results according to plan ensuring the expected quality. Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.
  • Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge on policies and regulations. Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly, and implement changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.


 Others

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Basic Spanish knowledge [desired].
