Digital Marketing

It’s an exciting time to join Popular Bank’s Marketing team. Under new leadership, we’re transforming Marketing to drive even better results: more highly engaged customers; increased customer loyalty; and a more customer-centric and data-driven approach to Marketing. Digital Marketing is critical to this transformation, and the Digital Marketing Manager will lead the Digital team through the next phase of growth and beyond.

In partnership with stakeholders across the organization, the Digital Marketing Manager will help shape the future of marketing of Popular Bank by developing a robust digital marketing campaign and measurement  strategy that ties different digital channels together into a holistic approach to campaign management that effectively uses analytics to understand impact. This role will be cross-functional, involving working closely with Product and other business areas, as well as other groups within Marketing.  

The Digital Marketing Manager will be a key member of the Customer Analytics and Marketing team, reporting directly to the head of the organization.  You will lead a New-York based digital marketing and creative team as well as manage relationships with outside agencies and vendors responsible for digital campaigns and social media. Popular Bank’s Marketing team has a strong collaborative and cooperative culture.  There is opportunity here to expand into other areas of interest.

In this position, you will:

In partnership with stakeholders across Popular Bank and within Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager will lead a team to:

  • Create end-to-end digital marketing experiences that manifest the Popular brand and drive measurable business results
  • Measure and report on the ROI of digital marketing efforts
  • Leverage digital channels to align marketing efforts with our customers’ needs and preferences
  • Oversee social media content strategy, working with the internal team and outside agencies to continue to improve effectiveness of social
  • Oversee email marketing strategy, leading the build and execution of email marketing campaigns
  • Oversee website UI/UX, SEO and content
  • Manage digital marketing channels for various campaigns; sometimes act as campaign owner for broader campaigns 
  • Manage and maintain successful relationships with digital vendors and outside agencies
  • Other responsibilities to be determined as the organization evolves

To be considered, you will need:


  • A leader capable of managing a growing team and working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Superb communication skills: written, verbal, data visualization
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience running successful digital marketing campaigns, with a proven track record of delivering measurable impact to business outcomes 
  • Strong foundation in digital strategy, including content production, website design, social media, email marketing and digital advertising
  • Deep understanding of key digital media channels including SEM, website, display, email, etc.
  • Proficiency with tag management and web analytics tools (especially Google Analytics) a strong plus
  • Highly engaged, intellectually curious individual who seeks continuous learning and is comfortable with a test-and-learn environment
  • Financial services/ banking marketing background strongly preferred
