US Product Management


Popular Bank is seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Product Manager.  We are undertaking a transformation that will re-imagine our business deposit product suite and position the bank for exponential growth.

The role reports to into our Head of Products and will provide an opportunity to influence strategy and make meaningful changes to our business product line.  These responsibilities will require you to re-think every aspect of the product to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience while helping the bank attain its strategic goals.

This role requires a sense of urgency and a passion for the end-to-end client experience.  It is a hands-on position that works across the entire lifecycle from product-market fit, customer experience design, implementation, go-to-market delivery, performance measurement, and post-launch support.  The development and management of any direct reports will a vital component to your success in accomplishing these key objectives.
 

In this position, you will:

 

  • Drive and operationalize the strategy, development, and enhancements across business deposit products and services offered by Popular Bank in the US for multiple channels and segments; including but not limited to branch network, private client, and direct bank deposit products
     
  • Own the end-to-end research, development, and implementation of new products and enhancement of existing products under management to enhance and/or improve our current product offering
     
  • Define, own, and update the Product Development Roadmap for Business Deposits products, constantly enhancing existing products and the launch of new products, based on competitive analysis and in partnership with Sales and Business heads
     
  • Analyze day-to-day progress of product, such as market penetration, growth, profitability, & customer satisfaction, and provides updates to Senior Management
     
  • Maintain up to date documented competitive and market data and trend analysis
     
  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
     
  • As needed, lead ad-hoc projects in collaboration with a wide variety of functional areas such as marketing, business units, information technology, and operations
     
  • Partner with internal business partners to ensure deposits product portfolio meets all regulatory compliance requirements
     
  • Research and document detailed product requirements to ensure that products meet business needs & performance objectives, and delivers an exceptional customer experience
     
  • Provide support in testing and technology deployments
     
  • Analyze product metrics, provide actionable insights, and develop business cases to justify product launches and enhancements
     
  • Collaborate with Digital Product Team and Call Center leads to define a best-in-class web and call center customer experience
     
  • In partnership with Marketing, execute marketing plans for products under management
     
  • Serve as Deposits Product SME for all stakeholders of the bank including training and communicating product features, benefits, and performance
     
  • Address customer complaints and issues in a timely fashion and recommend enhancements to current processes to improve customer experience
     

To be considered, you will need:

 

  • Minimum 5+ years of deposit product management
     
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  Preferably in business, economics, statistics, or related field
     
  • Strong conceptual & analytical skills with an ability to problem solve, recommend solutions, and intuitively prioritize business issues in a matrixed organization
     
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
     
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and foster collaboration and teamwork
     
  • Microsoft Office suite with marked proficiency using PowerPoint and Excel
     
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management
