US Product Management

Popular is looking for a talented and passionate Product Manager that join us in the creation of best-in-class omnichannel origination and servicing experiences.   The Product Manager is an entrepreneurial leader with a user-centric mindset.

The Product Manager must have exceptional problem-solving skills, be an effective communicator that uses their abilities to successfully collaborate with others, able to lead and influence product conversations, build consensus among a wide range of business partners.

This role requires a high level of curiosity, willingness to challenge the status quo and be an advocate for the user needs.  It is a hands-on product management position that works across the entire product lifecycle from discovery and ideation, customer experience design, development, implementation, go-to-market delivery and post launch support.  

In this position, you will:


  • Lead the ideation, development, launch and ongoing management of product to meet KPIs of assigned digital origination and servicing experiences that are consistent with strategic objectives and vision 
  • Define and prioritize product roadmap, release planning, and development and communication of business requirements
  • Leverage product data, stakeholder, and client feedback to define and prioritize requirements
  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization (e.g., business, technology, risk, cyber & fraud, legal & compliance) to ensure the product meets requirements and deliver business value
  • Identify and document cross-channel user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes that align with the product goals, meet, and exceed user needs and establishes appropriate controls
  • Build and maintain prioritized product backlog
  • Anticipate user needs and wants through market trends, user research and product data evaluation
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team in the design or user flows, wireframes, and communication journeys
  • Work closely with development teams in an agile environment
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria are met prior to launch
  • Actively monitor feature progress, risks and scope to anticipate and mitigate issues
  • Define and track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics – evangelize for adoption

To be considered, you will need:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Product Management, Customer Experience, Process Improvement or Digital Banking.  Alternatively, equivalent competency analyzing, designing and improving user experience to drive business outcomes
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent competency in information technology, business management, marketing or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate with and gain buy-in from stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience understanding and advocating for the client and prospective clients needs to deliver best in class experiences
  • Demonstrated ability collecting and using data to make product decisions
  • Demonstrated ability managing and measuring product success
  • Demonstrated ability translating user requirements and feedback into work items
  • Ability to understand underlying technologies, data and design of solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability developing work items for development, design or data teams
  • Knowledge of modern software development practices and concepts, such as Agile development 
  • Understanding of Design Thinking principles
  • Knowledge of user research methodologies, such as A/B testing
