Popular Bank is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Product Manager who is passionate about delivering innovative banking solutions, outcomes, and experiences that enable customers to succeed. As senior Product Manager for Commercial Deposits, you will own the full product management lifecycle for the Bank’s core commercial deposit product set. The role reports to our Head of Product and will provide an opportunity to influence strategy and make meaningful changes to our commercial product line. These responsibilities will require you to rethink every aspect of our products to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience while helping the Bank attain its strategic goals.

This role requires a sense of urgency and a passion for the end-to-end client experience. It is a hands-on position that works across the entire lifecycle: product-market fit, customer experience design, implementation, go-to-market delivery, performance measurement and post-launch support.

In this position, you will:

Strategic Ownership

  • Set the strategic direction of the commercial deposit product set by defining and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and segment strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on customer research, leveraging resulting insights, internal data, and market feedback to identify product opportunities, close gaps, and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to proactively identify product design opportunities, close competitive gaps, and understand competitive trends.
  • Build business cases for new value propositions, as well as enhancements to existing value propositions, based on customer needs and the competitive landscape. Responsible for analyzing financial information, including feasibility assessments, and profitability — pricing, operational costs, and recurring revenue.
  • Develop and manage a product roadmap by prioritizing features based on market and competitive analysis. Align priorities with sales and technical teams to drive continuous product enhancement and successful launches, ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities, and ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled

Outcome Owner and Domain Expert

  • Define, measure, and provide visibility of product metrics, including performance, adoption, usability, quality of enhancements, and emphasizing achievement of OKRs.
  • Accountable for the financial success and viability of complex products within the Business Line, taking responsibility for profitability and overall outcomes.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise or domain expertise to understand customer needs, communicate effectively with product stakeholders, make informed decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with functional areas and marketing teams to develop content that supports the product value proposition for delivery through training, marketing, communications, process and compliance procedures.
  • Lead and/or supports change management plans for sales strategies, training, and delivery processes in collaboration with Sales, Segment, and Digital teams.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership by integrating analytics to provide actionable insights that enable key product decisions. Synthesize analysis for audiences of different levels to get buy-in for tactical and strategic plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful launch of new products, including stakeholder alignment and engagement to ensure their support of launches; drafting BRDs and partnering with Core Systems on product design; managing New Product Committee process; ensuring end-to-end testing is completed prior to launch; ensuring any post-launch issues are resolved promptly
  • Lead resolution or remediation of issues and opportunities for improvement that arise with product, including acting as quarterback with partner teams (data entry, loan ops, branch admin, credit, fraud) to ensure issues are resolved appropriately
  • Responsible for responding to requests from audit, risk, compliance, legal, and other monitoring bodies for matters related to products under management

To be considered, you will need:

  • 7+ years of commercial deposit product management and end-to-end product delivery
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business, marketing, or related field
  • Strong conceptual & analytical skills with an ability to problem solve, recommend solutions, and intuitively prioritize business issues
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
