Sr Marketing Officer

Segment Marketing and Deposit Products

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Officer with a strong background in the financial industry to lead and execute innovative marketing campaigns that drive growth, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen brand presence.

The ideal candidate will have 6 - 10 years of experience managing multi-channel marketing initiatives and a proven track record of delivering measurable results in a regulated environment.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Campaigns: Lead the creation, execution, and assessment of marketing campaigns, Developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives, target audiences and budgets for retail and business banking. Conducting market research and analyzing consumer insights to identify target audience segments, preferences and behaviors. Must be able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. 

  • Manage Marketing Strategy and Budget: Develop annual marketing strategies, oversee campaign budgets, and optimize resource allocation to meet brand and business objectives.

  • Monitor and Report Campaign Effectiveness: Track the performance of marketing initiatives, generate status reports, and deliver insights to improve future campaigns.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor marketing team members to ensure successful project delivery. Coordinate with compliance, product, and sales teams to maintain alignment and adherence to financial regulations. 

  • Channel Management: Work with different channel owners, including digital, email, social media, paid ads, print, and events. Work with the creative manager to ensure messaging is consistent, compliant, and resonates with the target audience.

  • Procurement Management: Will work as a back up to the marketing coordinator to manage contracts and pay invoices through Ariba which includes the creating, reviewing negotiating, and managing contracts within SAP Ariba Contract Management module. Track and monitor contract expirations, renewals, and key deliverables. Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and business units for contract approvals and compliance alignment. Process and reconcile invoices in the SAP Ariba Invoice Management module.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Minimum Required:  Bachelors degree from accredited college in marketing or related field

  • Experience in Financial/Professional Services Marketing: 6-10 years of marketing experience, ideally in a financial services or professional services organization. Proven experience in campaign management and marketing with a track record of successfully executing marketing campaigns. Demonstrable portfolio in managing integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels. 

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong writing, presentation, and verbal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into impactful marketing messages.

  • Project Management and Multitasking Ability: Proven expertise in managing multiple, complex projects within time constraints in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strategic and Independent Problem-Solver: Ability to work independently, proactively address challenges, and engage with leaders and stakeholders to drive results.

  • Results-Oriented: Experience with marketing automation, lead management, and campaign measurement, with a focus on data to refine marketing strategies.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial products, services, and industry regulations. and compliance in the US market. 

  • Ownership: Campaign Manager will be the single point of contact for any campaign related inquiries, complaints, issue resolution

  • Procurement and Budget Management: Experience with budgeting and procurement management system is desirable. 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the relevant software such as Microsoft Officer and Adobe Creative Suite, tolls like Monday and Jira are desirable. Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, PPC, SMM and other strategies. 

Base Salary & Benefits

Our base salary for this position located in [[state]]  generally ranges between  $120,000.00 and $150,000.00 annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits.

In addition to salary, Popular's well-rounded benefits package for regular full-time and part-time employees includes a comprehensive health plan, flexible time off options, and savings and investment plans. Seasonal/temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
