Senior Financial Consultant

Popular Insurance Sales - NY Metro


We are currently searching for a Senior Financial Consultant with strong investment sales experience to join our dynamic Popular Investment team! Responsible for providing quality financial products, primarily investment and insurance, services and advice to clients and other business units. This is a commission based position only.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide ongoing service to existing clients and build customer base, by identifying and developing financial services prospects and contacts.
  • Provide ongoing service to existing clients while seeking opportunities to expand their financial relationship with the bank, cross-selling bank services and products.
  • Manage and nurture client relationships.
  • Ensure the sales process is based upon holistic profiling/financial planning approach to ensure client satisfaction and attainment of maximum sales and referral opportunities.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance and insight to clients, and colleagues as appropriate.
  • Assess clients’ financial circumstances and investment objectives.
  • Advise clients on advantages and disadvantages of various investment products.
  • Manage diverse client portfolios and stay current with financial industry and market trends.
  • Keep informed of financial services and related developments and complies with policies, procedures and laws.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Business Administration or related field, preferred, and six years of financial services industry experience with investment-based sales and relationship management experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 66 or Series 63 and Series 65 required. NY State Life and Health Insurance licensing required.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services related to investment activities. Examples include: Securities, Annuities, Life Insurance, Funds Flow Analysis, Investment Operations, and application of rules and regulations.
  • Proven ability to successfully identify customer needs and recommend the most appropriate product or service based on those needs.
  • Excellent sales ability, presentation, marketing, and negotiation skills.
     

Base Salary & Benefits

Our base salary for this position located in New York City generally ranges between  $62,400.00 and $66,300.00  annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits.

In addition to salary, Popular's well-rounded benefits package for regular full-time and part-time employees includes a comprehensive health plan, flexible time off options, and savings and investment plans. Seasonal/temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.

Our hybrid work model benefit applies to certain positions and is subject to changes based on the organizational needs.
