We are currently searching for an Application Developer / Analyst to join our dynamic team.  In this position you will be responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of new and existing business applications and production systems support. Application development is for Client/Server and Web based applications (N-Tier). Candidate must be capable of working at technical level in all phases of the systems project life-cycle and must be able to apply business knowledge to systems development, and provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.

In this position, you will:

  • Work through the full software development lifecycle with primary focus on design, programming and testing activities
    • Review and interpret business requirements and develop detailed technical requirements
    • Analyze requirements and determine how it will affect new or existing systems
    • Generate estimates for design, programming and testing activities
    • Design system elements such as classes, components, modules etc to meet functional requirements
    • Identify database entities and prepare logical/physical data models
    • Design interfaces within system for various modules and components
    • Generate programming specifications for new or existing systems
    • Deploy new or existing systems to production
    • Perform maintenance and operational activities such as generating reports, correcting data
    • Document business process conversion procedures, convert data and verify results
    • Create/update system or user documentation
  • Review and understand the architecture and design parts of new or existing systems
    • Build unit, system and integration test case scenarios based on the requirements
    • Construct programming elements such as classes, components, subsystems
    • Construct database elements such as tables, views, stored procedure, functions, triggers
    • Apply principles of good code development (e.g., reusability, maintainability and self-testing)
    • Define a system/integration/UAT test plans based on functional and non functional requirements
    • Execute test plans and verify that test results meet functional and non functional requirements
    • Analyze/troubleshoot production defects and implement resolutions for root causes
    • Learn and customize packaged software activities

To be considered, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Design, Develop, Test and Implement enterprise class applications.
  • 3+ years solid hands-on programming experience with ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, XML/Web Services
  • 2+ years experience in business requirements gathering/analysis. Experience in interpreting business requirements into technical specifications.
  • 2+ years experience in SQL Server database programming.
  • 1+ years experience in filling a senior role or leading projects.
  • 1+ years experience in system integration. Experience with EAI products ( MQ Series, Biz Talk, TIBCO) a plus
