General Description

Popular is looking for a talented and passionate Product Manager that join us in the creation of best-in-class omnichannel origination journeys and customer experiences.   The Product Owner is an entrepreneurial leader with a user-centric mindset.

The Product Manager must have exceptional problem-solving skills, be an effective communicator that uses his/her abilities to successfully collaborate with others, able to lead and influence product conversations, build consensus among a wide range of business partners.

This role requires a high level of curiosity, willingness to challenge the status quo and be an advocate for the user needs. It is a hands-on product management position that works across the entire product lifecycle from discovery and ideation, customer experience design, process optimization, development, implementation, delivery, post launch support and ongoing optimization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the ideation, development, launch and ongoing management of product to meet KPIs of assigned end-to-end origination journeys that are consistent with strategic objectives and vision.
  • Define and prioritize product backlog, release planning, development, and communication of business requirements.
  • Drive organizational change to adopt omnichannel strategies and in collaboration with channel owners define channel orchestration, seamless transitions, and consistency of the experience across channels.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team to design engaging user experiences and communication journeys.
  • Identify pain points across the designated journey and own front-to-back process optimization across the deliver you the service.
  • Leverage product data, stakeholder, and client feedback to define and prioritize requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (cont.)

  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization (e.g., business, technology, risk, cyber & fraud, legal & compliance) to ensure the product meets requirements and enable business growth.
  • Build and maintain prioritized product backlog.
  • Anticipate user needs and wants through market trends, user research and product data evaluation.
  • Work closely with development teams in an agile environment
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria are met prior to launch.
  • Actively monitor feature progress, risks, and scope to anticipate and mitigate issues.
  • Define and track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics – evangelize for adoption.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Business-Related Specialty in related fields or Marketing

Experience

Three (3) years of experience in Product Management, Customer Experience, Process Improvement or Digital Banking. 

Certifications / Licenses

No certifications or license needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)

  • Strong business acumen: ability to understand the needs and concerns of business stakeholders and colleagues and respond promptly and effectively to stakeholder requests.  Ability to conduct analysis on work procedures, business results, and recommends changes to improve the effectiveness of the business's management.
  • Communication skills: effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.  Highly develop written and verbal communications skills in English.  Presents numerical data effectively. Superior communication and interpersonal skills.  Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.  Polished in preparing presentations, executive summaries, and business reports in English for executive audiences.
  • Analytical skills: Stays focused on main issues, prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with timely completion of assignments.  Collects, research and complements data; Synthesizes complex or diverse information.  Demonstrates attention to detail; Applies design principles; Generate creative solutions.  Strong quantitative, research and analytical skills.  Experience with data analysis, persuasive and informative writing, workload management, and process management.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize and work with multiple projects and tasks with minimum supervision; self-direct and task switch between strategic and tactical initiatives regularly. Capacity to achieve results according to plan ensuring the expected quality. Excellent organization capacity to define priorities, meet deadlines, and flexible to change.  Knowledge on project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management and status reports.  Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.
  • Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge on budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, and regulations. Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly.
  • Computer and technological skills: Proficient in MS O365, Salesforce and nCino.
