General Description

The Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) includes performing quality assurance reviews (QAR) and driving key quality improvement initiatives. The QAIP will execute QARs over audits and other Internal Audit (IA) activities to evaluate the sound application of risk-based auditing in conformance with IA manual and professional standards. The QAIP will report on QAR findings and share results with the General Auditor, IA Management, IA staff and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in performing the following: (1) Execute quality assurance reviews over audit workpapers and key IA activities (closed findings, sustainability testing, risk assessments, reporting metrics, trainings, and governance matters); (2) Discuss findings with process owners; (3) Prepare quality assurance reports; (4) execution of continuous improvement activities, which may include performing research, identifying issues and opportunities for continuous improvement that demonstrate insightful analysis and sound audit judgment, providing practical, innovative, and value-added solutions to identified issues, and providing support in the enhancements of the Internal Audit’s methodology and related documentation/templates.

Education

Certifications

Some certificates and licenses are recommended.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in internal or external audit, with at least 2 years of experience as Senior Auditor (or similar role)
