General Description
Manages all aspects of a branch. Accountable for leading and developing teams, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and branch policies and procedures within our cultural framework. Ensures the branch adheres to corporate policies, objectives, and practices. Responsible to develop new business relationships and maintain them by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage Branch to achieve net income goals and operational efficiency.
• Lead deposits growth, both consumer and commercial, and products sales initiatives while maintaining the expected quality.
• Actively contact existing and prospective clients to develop and maintain client relationships while attracting new money, commercial services, among other products through sales calls, community involvement, referrals, and entertainment.
• Manage commercial credit applications, review, and negotiate pricing and submit to Commercial Credit Center for approval.
• Communicate credit decisions to clients.
• Oversee reports to detect high risk accounts, internal audits regarding compliance issues, controllable expense accounts, and maintain adequate commercial portfolio management, including renewals, delinquency, among others.
• Identify current and long term banking needs for both segments (business and consumer) to offer appropriate advice, services, and product solutions within our cultural framework.
• Provide coaching, training, and supervision to the team members.
• Delegate day to day tactical duties to the Assistant Branch Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Coach and develop constantly the supervisory team to thrive in an excellent work environment.
• Foster a spirit of teamwork that allows consensus over ideas as well as diversity.
Education
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Retail Branch operations and business development, two of these supervising personnel.
Experience as Assistant Branch Manager and Small Business Specialist or Branch Manager.
Certifications / Licenses
Other Qualifications
• Knowledge of Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheet, Internet, Internal Business software, other related software.
• Knowledge of Commercial and consumer credit regulations, policies, and procedures; Loan analysis, restructuring, and documentation; Collection Techniques and Structure financing analysis.
• Knowledge of budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, regulations, objectives, and initiatives according to the job’s responsibilities.
• Ability to establish, conduct and track (audit) operational processes properly, and implement changes.
• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations; Retail, Automobile, Mortgage Consumer Lending and Leasing products and services; Branch operations; Foreign currency transactions.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the following skills: client interviewing, consultative sales, proposals preparation, and presentation.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English (intermediate/advanced level) and Spanish (advanced level)

Flexibility to work non-business hours, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when needed.
