General Description
The Business Analyst design and execute data mining, perform analysis on originations and portfolio databases, prepares reports and dashboards, while ensuring data’s quality and integrity. Responsible for forecasting, tracking the performance, and supporting efforts of the commercial segments B & C strategic initiatives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure initiatives are prioritized based on opportunity size and that the financial performance of retail segments is accurately tracked.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform database analysis to leverage customer information, balances, fees, transactions, new money, new accounts, product sales and other business OKR’s.
• Develop analysis and recurrent reports for management to measure business goals and scorecards for incentives. Provide concise data reports and clear data visualizations for management.
• Responsible for developing, updating and supporting Power BI Dashboards for commercial originations and portfolio databased.
• Support initiative to grow business by developing list of potential customers to be targeted for marketing campaigns. Provide marketing campaigns efforts results.
• Develop and maintain profitability models to forecast the financial impact of segment initiatives.
• Support new projects and provide recommendations to enhance revenue streams, increase product sales, reduce costs, and optimize overall financial performance.
• Collaborate with segment owners to prioritize initiatives based on expected profitability and implementation feasibility.
• To ensure strategic alignment, provide insights on revenue projections, cost drivers, and resource allocation.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and/or presentations to communicate financial performance and management insights.
• Partner with business analysts to leverage advanced analytics to drive customer segment profitability
• Continuously improve and refine the database and analysis process, tools, and methodologies to automate processes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
Experience
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the banking, Power BI or financial services industry.
• Experience developing and updating dashboards.
Other Qualifications
• Ability to perform databased and quantitative analysis.
• Expertise in customer segmentation, customer lifetime value (CLV) analysis, and market research methodologies is preferred
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, Excel, SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate) and experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Familiarity with banking products, services, and retail banking operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working under pressure and complying with deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Strong Oral Communication: (Spanish and English): Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Demonstrates polished presentation skills.
• Strong Written Communication: (Spanish and English): Writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively.
