General Description
-
Responsible of analyzing business data and summarizing business performance drivers including financials, operations, customer and/or economic data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes. Tasks consider data and quantitative analysis, analyzing and interpreting financials trends or patterns, data extraction, data integration from different sources, data consolidation, data mining, data interpretation, research, process automation, prepares ongoing reports and data visualizations. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insights and insights into conclusions for business decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, update and analyze reports related to portfolio credit indicators and financial information including current results, budget, and future forecast.
- Develop, update and analyze monthly and daily reports to raise early alarm flags and report risks and opportunities to plan or forecast.
- Analyze the variances in performance of each consumer portfolio and segment to find risk clusters and/or opportunity segments. Reporting analysis includes adherence to plan, credit initiation, portfolio management, collections and charge-offs.
- Responsible to provide explanations into VAPP application for Portfolio Assets with significant variance between periods.
- Support Manager with Budget process for the Consumer Lending business. Directly responsible to provide Portfolio Balances Forecast and Expected Yield to Comptroller Group for official Business Line Profit and Loss Forecast.Responsible for the development, update and monitoring and certification of CECL Portfolio Extract Manual feed files for Eloan, Reserve Line of Credit.
- Directly responsible for monitoring and forecast delinquency levels and Net Charge Off by product/segment. Findings and interpretations are shared with Collection Team and Risk Management.
- Analyze and update created reports related to business performance. (List of Report will be provided)
- Handle and integrate databases in order to provide concise data solutions and perform validation exercises to ensure data quality.
- Retrieves, analyzes, and summarizes business, operations, customer and/or economic data in order to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, correlations and patterns from different types of data sets.
- Helps facilitate processes to translate data insights into strategic direction through visualizations and dashboards development.
- Develop automated procedures to support business strategies
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.
Minimum Education
-
Bachelor’s in industrial engineering, Finance or Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (concentration in Finance preferred)
Experience
-
At least 2 years of experience in data mining, research, market analysis and/or data management, financial analysis, or other related fields. Consumer banking products experience preferred.
Certifications / Licenses (Nice to have)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)
- Data and business analysis with the ability to establish conclusions.
- Data mining with the ability to identify patterns in complex data sets.
- Data process automation.
- Power BI dashboards development.
- Ability to establish data models and data structures.
- Project management skills.
- High level of organization to establish priorities, simultaneously work with multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Flexibility to work non-business hours, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when needed.
- Proficiency in the use of the following applications or languages: SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, Power Query and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Pivot, Access, Power Point and Word). Power BI, Power Automate, SAS is a plus.
