General Description

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Division. In this position you will be working towards understanding and documenting current business procedures and requirements. Determine the business needs and the areas of improvement if current systems are present, or actively contribute to matching business needs with the right technologies if new systems are required, in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Strong written and documentation skills are required for this position, both in Spanish and English.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements, Analysis, and Design:

  • Analyze business challenges, processes, and applications for improvement opportunities. 
  • Conduct interviews and process design work sessions with business partners and team members.
  • Consult with business partners on business case development.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Design business processes and requirements for software solutions, including functionality, rules, screens (UI), and reports. Support the design effective business solutions.
  • Coordinate and document the acceptance and understanding of all stakeholders including the vendors with the requirement documentation.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years combined technical and business analysis experience. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds, levels, and technical expertise. 
  • Ability to effectively translate between business and technical stakeholders. 
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining relationships with business departments. 
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies. 
  • Ability to conceptualize and think creatively. 
  • Experience in various requirement elicitation techniques such as interviews, workshops, brainstorming, storyboards, use cases, prototyping, etc. 
  • Good group facilitation and negotiation skills. 
  • Proficient in Business Process Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Project Planning, and Functional Design. 
  • Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills. 
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to balance multiple concurrent projects. 
  • Proficient with MS office tools (Excel, Visio, Project, Access, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment. 
  • Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to operate with minimal supervision. 
  • Experience in financial services/banking a plus.
  • Experience in agile is a plus.
