General Description
The position of Business Systems Liaison of the Commercial Credit Risk specializes in finding, analyzing, and developing technology solutions to support business areas. The position is characterized by dynamism and constant interaction with the diverse units of Popular. The candidate must be able to identify areas of opportunity design, develop, and implement technological solutions in response to customer needs and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Acting as a liaison between business users and the IT Division. The position’s main task will include supporting Commercial Credit Risk's current systems and new technology initiatives. Analyzing commercial business requirements and technical processes to assess their needs and help identify a solution for process and/or system enhancements.
- Design solution requirements for the developers creating Mock-Ups and specifications of the request.
- Write user stories that are clear, concise, and easy to understand and implement by the development team.
- Facilitates bi-weekly meetings with the development team to resolve blockers and provide guidance/clarification for the requirements.
- Set priorities on the tasks requested and organize work using JIRA and ITSS to track tasks and tickets.
- Defines acceptance criteria and creates/reviews test scripts for user acceptance. Document and perform quality and integration tests to applications developed to ensure the documented requirements and business needs are met.
- Coordinate and participate in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support, if needed, in the deployment validations.
- Update, implement, and maintain documentation such as procedure manuals, systems manuals, user training presentations, and document Q&As from the training.
- Support users during new development implementation and ongoing support of the applications. Reporting and monitoring Commercial Credit Risk Systems incidents to the IT Division.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration or Computer Science from an accredited university or college.
Experience
Minimum of three years of experience in commercial banking.
Other Qualifications
- Experienced in using Office 365 tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, and Teams, among others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Strong analytical skills are required to translate conceptual thinking into possible project requirements.
- Skills to prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment.
- A team player attitude with a deep commitment to business results.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively
Languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.

8:00 am -5:00 pm
