Full Time Opportunity

General Description

Receive, verify, and analyze collaterals for commercial loans.  Ensures required documentation, terms and conditions meet compliance requirements, and that they comply with the state and federal laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the relationship officer in the processing of loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees or credit officers for approval. Process and analyze financial statements using computer programs, to generate financial ratios to evaluate customers' financial condition. Document the degree of risk involved in extending the credit or lending money given the actual financial condition of a client or prospect. Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity. Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of clients with those in the same industries and geographic locations. Perform annual reviews of existing line of credits and term loans. Maintain continuous communication with customers to obtain financial and non-financial information for the processing of loan applications. Perform post closing activities such as: deliver original notes and collateral documents to post closing area, and verify data integrity of loans in the Bank’s systems. Consult with customers to resolve complaints and verify credit transactions. Provide support in other account management activities such as: collection of past due loans, verify borrower compliance with covenants and other loan documents. Assist the relationship officer in the performance of collections, BSA reports, compliance audits, and resolve customers’ claims.      

         

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Education

Juris Doctor Degree or Paralegal studies completed or in progress.

Experience

Minimum of two years paralegal experience or closely related experience.

•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both clients and co-workers.
•    Manage different computer systems such as Outlook, Microsoft Office, Access, among others.
