Commercial Relationship Officer

General Description

The Construction Division at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced professional with the Relationship Officer - Marketing & Sales Support position. This role is responsible for the success of new and existing real estate projects through strategic marketing, sales support, and close collaboration with Popular Mortgage, developers, realtors, industry associations, and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Sales Strategies: Develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to promote the construction division’s products and services.

  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between developers and Popular Mortgage

  • Sales Monitoring: Oversee new construction project sales, conduct meetings with sales and processing team.

  • Client Engagement and Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including developers, and investors.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to inform feasibility studies and sales strategies.

  • Corporate Communications: Manage internal and external communications to support brand perception and event coordination.

  • Sponsorship and Networking: Participate in and sponsoring events to increase awareness and build industry connections.

  • Administrative and Program Management: Provide administrative support, managing program applications, and preparing detailed reports.

  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute internal and external events to support marketing and sales initiatives.

  • Project Management: Oversee project management activities ensuring that projects are completed on time. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, managing timelines, and addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferably in marketing, business administration, finance, or related field concentration.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in marketing or related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)

  • Basic knowledge of mortgage regulations and products
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including coordinating marketing initiatives, organizing events, and supervising sales procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for preparing reports, presentations, and managing communications.
  • Strong customer care skills to establish and maintain good relationships
  • Ability to work effectively as a liaison between different teams
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, coordinate initiatives, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in marketing, sales, and project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage staff schedules, coordinate initiatives, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
