Business Systems Liaison

General Description

The position of Business Systems Liaison of the Individual Credit Systems Administration specializes in finding, analyzing, and developing technology solutions to support the business areas. The position is characterized by dynamism and constant interaction with the diverse units of Popular. The candidate must have the ability to identify areas of opportunity, design, develop and implement technological solutions in response to customer needs and strategies.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and monitor technology strategies for the Retail & Business Solutions Group.
  • Anticipate risk situations that may affect the achievement of objectives and take the necessary measures to prevent them.
  • Analyze and develop solutions necessary to support the strategies of the Deposit Products & Personal Loans Div, Credit Card Division and Retail Lending Operations Division.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, present alternatives, and provide follow-up on agreements reached.
  • Communicate ideas with fluency, clarity, accuracy, and logical order, either verbally, in writing or in meetings and formal presentations to working groups.
  • Interact with different support and service areas such as Compliance, Legal, Audit, Popular Auto, Operations, as other business lines.
  • Assist management in the development of business plans and strategies and develop special reports upon request.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project management related duties.

 

Other Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the credit cycle and state and federal credit regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and logical skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial information.
  • Handle information from various sources and databases for the creation of reports to assist senior management in decision making.
  • Ability to deliver and create training, speeches, and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in MS Office Basic and Power Apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office project,
  • Knowledge in the use of ACAPS application.

Work Schedule

  • Hybrid (Work days Mon- Fri | 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - 3 onsite and 2 remote)
