We believe a client advisor job is to understand a client’s financial goals and assist in creating strategies to achieve them. To do so, you must be able to understand and analyze market trends, and provide sound financial advice based on various financial indicators. 

In Popular Securities you will have access to state-of-the-art trading and money management platforms from National Financial Services (Fidelity). As a Popular Securities Client Advisor in the Investor Center, you will also count with a team of professionals to support help achieve your goals; as well as Private Bankers, Premium Bakers, Financial Planners, and Insurance Officers that will provide specialized knowledge, expertise and support to you and your clients. 

Job Description / Responsibilities 

• Proactively advise and manage Investor Center book of business.  
• Execute in a promptly and assertive way securities transactions minimizing the possibility of errors. 
• Based on individualized needs analysis, prepares recommendations for customized financial solutions to current and potential customers. 
• Uses sales tools and modules to conduct the analysis and offer the best advice and products and customer understanding of solutions. 
• Document all contact with clients in Sales Force and keep electronic files updated as required by the firm.  

• Meets or exceeds established sales goals for assigned market, while meeting individual client needs and complying with pertinent policies and regulations. 
• Support other Financial Consultants in the execution of securities sensitive to changes in market prices when the consultant is not available to do so. 
• Support and guide Serie 6 Premium Bankers in the sales of investment products. 
• Maintains and builds referral channel and develop strong partnerships to ensure investment needs of current and potential customers in assigned Market and/or branches are met or exceeded. 
• Regularly reviews customer information to ensure compliance with BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements to protect bank interests. 

• Understands and adheres to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls. Maintains internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. 
• Comply with the regulatory firm element trainings and continuing education required by Popular Inc and Popular Securities.  

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or related field preferred 
• FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66 licenses (or commitment to obtain within first year) 

• Pertinent state Life/Variable Insurance (LAH) licenses (or commitment to obtain within first year) 
• English Language Proficiency
