Operations Analyst - Estate Processing
Regular Full Time Opportunity
Job Type
The Analyst processes requests for information of banking relationships and/or liquidation of deceased customer accounts. Documents are analyzed to determine the relationship of the requestor with the deceased customer.
General Description
Receives applications and ensures that all required documentation is included in the requested procedure. Investigates and analyzes deceased customer accounts across various systems spanning a period of up to seven years. Notifies the appropriate department to request maintenance on accounts and credit cards. Issue letters containing requests for information or complete instructions to authorize the settlement of funds from deposit accounts. Generate calls and/or letters to the estate to coordinate the disbursement of funds in a branch. Manage calls from internal/external customers daily as needed.
Education
Completed bachelor’s degree required.
Experience
At least two-year of relevant retail, banking operations, paralegal or legal case handling experience is preferred.

- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including telephone skills and etiquette.
- Detail oriented, able to identify situations, look for alternatives and make good decisions.
- High level of organization to establish priorities, simultaneously work with multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- High degree of commitment, and ability to adapt to new situations.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
- Manage different computer systems including Windows Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Banco Popular systems, etc.).
- Effective communication and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
