Web Developer Senior

General Description

Designs and develops internet sites or web components.  Also implements software packages for web sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gathers feedback from design and technical staff on Web site development needs. Builds user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages. Assists in project planning and Website design. Gathers functional specifications and develops prototypes for Internet and Web-based projects. Creates technical methodologies for engineering solutions to Web-based development challenges. Collaborates with engineering personnel on specifics of projects, new technologies, and deadlines. Researches and helps determine new Web technologies to utilize, such as browsers, languages, and plug-ins, based on company's needs. Follow local and global technology trends, identifying opportunities for adoption and innovation.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Experience

• Distinctive problem solving and analytical thinking
• Demonstrable experience with the development of innovative new technologies and features
• Ability to think conceptually and translate ideas into action
• Hands on experience with databases, SQL, and API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, is preferred 

• Knowledge with frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, jQuery)
  
  

• Experience with PHP or other programming languages is a plus
• Understanding of web performance, security, and accessibility principles
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Ability to prototype visualizations is a plus
• Ability to fluently speak, read and write English and Spanish
