Financial Analyst

General Description

We are seeking a talented and driven Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Reporting team. This role is primarily responsible for work related to the preparation of financial and regulatory reports and the corresponding supporting schedules. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for the preparation of financial and regulatory reports and supporting schedules.
  • Compile and analyze the information necessary to complete the schedules and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including accounting, audit, and lines of business teams, to gather, verify, and interpret financial information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work even during peak periods, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing. Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc analyses as assigned by management.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related fields

Experience

At least two years of related experience.

Experience in banking industry is a plus

Other Qualifications

  • Experience in financial reporting.
  • Bilingual proficiency (verbal and written) in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
  • Domain in the use of applications of MS: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Willingness and availability to work extra hours, holidays, and weekends as business needs arise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work outputs.
  • Skills to adapt to change easily.
