The Financial Analyst supports the Popular Securities Advisory Group (PSAG) by preparing portfolio analysis, investment research, business analytics, due diligence materials, and client-ready presentations for Popular Securities’ Financial Advisors and their clients. The role partners with Investment Associates, Financial Analysts, and the PSAG Manager to support the Investment Consulting process, contribute to the development of investment proposals and recommendations, and help ensure analytical deliverables are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with advisory business standards.

This is an analytical and advisory support role. The Financial Analyst assists with portfolio reviews, research, proposal development, and business analytics. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Prepares portfolio analysis, asset allocation reviews, investment proposal materials, business analytics reports, and client-ready presentations for review by Investment Associates, Financial Advisors, and/or the PSAG Manager.
•    Reviews and organizes client financial information, portfolio holdings, objectives, restrictions, risk profile, liquidity needs, and investment preferences to support the development of advisory recommendations.
•    Supports Financial Advisors and Investment Associates in preparing materials for client discussions, including analysis summaries, presentation exhibits, recommendation support, and follow-up deliverables.
•    Validates data, reviews presentation accuracy, documents assumptions, and helps ensure analytical deliverables are complete, consistent, and aligned with the Investment Consulting process.
•    Conducts research on investment products, strategies, market trends, asset allocation, portfolio positioning, and related topics to support advisory analysis and business decision-making.
•    Assists with due diligence for investment strategies and products by gathering information, preparing comparative analysis, summarizing findings, and maintaining supporting documentation.
•    Develops, updates, and maintains analytical tools, templates, reports, and dashboards for accounts, products, investment strategies, advisory activity, and business development initiatives.
•    Supports special projects designed to improve Advisory Business growth, operational efficiency, advisor support, client service, and consistency of investment-related deliverables.
•    Maintains working knowledge of investment products, advisory platforms, portfolio construction concepts, and applicable internal policies and procedures.
•    Manages multiple assignments simultaneously, meets established deadlines, escalates data gaps or issues timely, and maintains a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience

At least three years of related experience.

Other Qualifications

•    Strong analytical, research, reporting, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate, high-quality deliverables under established timelines.
•    Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish, including the ability to communicate investment and numerical information clearly.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with Financial Advisors, Investment Associates, managers, and internal business partners.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams; ability to learn and adapt to internal analysis, reporting, and operational systems.
