General Description

Graphic Designers (GD) create visual concepts using computer software to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers.  They develop the overall layout and production design for applications such as brochures, flyers, magazines, forms, presentations, and reports, among others.  GDs are lifelong learners.  As technology and the culture and trends change, they must adapt and should continuously stay abreast of the latest methods, techniques, and tools of the trade.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Manages tasks through the Documentation Request System (DRS) application.
  • Coordinates calls/meetings with internal clients to learn about their needs and requirements for a job.
  • Defines concepts and offers alternatives and recommendations to prepare adequate designs or templates.
  • Establishes estimated time of tasks/projects completion based on the complexity of the work and negotiate with the user due date.
  •  Applies corporate standards in arts and forms and provides alternatives to optimize visual presentations.
  •  Defines print fields, variables for drop downs, picklists, check boxes, and basic math formula logistics.
  • Programs form fields to appear or disappear according to the information provided.
  • Programs to define quantity of copies to print, establishes fields with numerical sequence, etc.
  • Distributes forms to the applications and, if necessary, assists in adjusting them during the testing process.
  •  Maintains control of the forms’ versions in the Catalog and the servers.
  • Assists or takes responsibility in other tasks that may become part of the job as operational changes occur.


Supervisory Responsibilities:  

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Education

Minimum requirement: a bachelor’s degree in Arts or Fine Arts (BA, BFA) majoring in Graphic Design or a bachelor’s degree in Digital Graphic Design.  The candidate must provide evidence of academic background or courses.


Two (2) years of related experience designing all types of documents.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and xPression (xPresso)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Ste (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Proficient in DocuSign and CutePDF
  • Knowledgeable in Power BI
  • Knowledgeable in grammar (Spanish/English)
  • Knowledgeable in colors, fonts, layouts, materials, and trends
  • Critical eye (to offer the best advice/alternatives to internal customers)
  • Creative and communicative to connect his/her ideas with customers’ needs 
  • Skilled to negotiate and work on multiple projects at the same time 
  • Flexible in managing changes, especially if they are sudden and urgent
  • Able to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and internal customers
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively with multiple deadlines and projects in a challenging environment with aggressive due dates
