ISO Security Officer

General Description


Provided technical leadership in the creation, establishment and maintenance of the information technology/security risk framework, processes, and controls, taking into consideration the overall business strategy, legal/regulatory requirements, and other best practices.  Perform security assessment to applications, systems, and vendors. Manage the various risks, which may threaten the very success of the organization and propose methodologies to eliminate or minimize them.  

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate the request of information for internal and external audits, Second Line of Defense and regulators.
  • Review and analyze the deficiencies identified by internal and external audits, Second Line of Defense and regulators.
  • Support in the review and documentation of remediation and action plans of identified deficiencies.
  • Communication with the business areas to request information necessary to carry out the analysis.
  • Carry out assessments to determine the impact of deficiencies.
  • Documentation and updating of internal procedures.
  • Process evaluation and identify improvements.

 


Minimum Education


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline.

 


Experience

 

  • 5+ years in Bank’s IT or Cyber Operations, audit position or similar.
  • Professional certifications in Information Security are preferred, such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CIAM, CIMP  

 


Other Qualifications

 

  • Specialize knowledge in various Information Security and Information Technology concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and develops alternative solutions.)
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheets, and other productivity tools.
  • Ability to process data and format to generate reports.
  • Ability to learn new topics and concepts.
  • Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and technology.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of applicable local and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes.
