General Description
Proactively evaluate Process Optimization, Process Reengineering and Business Continuity in Popular Insurance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
- Identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in business operations.
- Create and maintain required operational process documentation, including process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, labor utilization, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
- Conceive, design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
- Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to formulate/support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Evaluate feasibility of projects using financial and statistical tools.
- Prioritize projects using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
- Develop operational standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
- Determine metrics and create comprehensive dashboards to monitor progress and effectively communicate with leadership.
- Design and implement efficient electronic workflows.
- Design and implement control systems to minimize costs and operational issues.
- Develop and document procedures and work instructions.
- Train staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals.
- Define business and technical requirements for process automation opportunities identified in process assessment exercises.
- Utilize Project management tools to coordinate the completion of complex projects, involving multiple business functions, department managers, and outside contractors.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
Experience
At least three (3) years of related experience in project coordination and/or management, such as having identified the business’ needs, work plans, budget control, time management, resources distribution, team management, and making reports. Preferably, have the Project Management certification (PMP) and experience or courses in Lean/Six Sigma philosophy.
Other Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), Microsoft Project, among others.
- Analytic abilities to evaluate and synthesize complex and diverse information.
- Have clear and effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Work with little or no supervision and with interdisciplinary groups.
- Ability to create and offer effective presentations to work groups.
- Ability to identify, understand, and solve situations while applying concepts, analytic techniques and offer alternatives to solutions.
- Be able to manage, with agility, changes in tasks, identify available resources and establish priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure, complete multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
