General Description
Employ successful sales-based marketing strategies such as prospecting, networking, and more to identify and secure potential clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with new, existing, and prospective policyholders and actively listen to their needs to properly assess their circumstances and financial statuses before proposing ideal plan options.
- Ensure commercial clients receive comprehensive risk management solutions by coordinating and leveraging SMEs in all PRS specialized practices.
- Educating commercial clients about their insurance options, explaining the benefits and limitations of each policy, and helping them to make informed decisions.
- Suggest risk management strategies that match the commercial clients’ profile.
- Effectively manage commercial policy renewals with the Account Executive.
- Ensure that existing, new, and prospective clients complete all appropriate forms and meet insurance policy requirements, and facilitate the insurance claims process, which may include examining the condition of physical properties to assess risks.
- Commit to a continued education in property & casualty insurance protocols and coverage requirements to ensure the ideal types of insurance policies are offered to existing clients, potential clients, and new customers.
- Promote PRS Commercial Risks Practice throughout the Popular Network through education and awareness campaigns.
- Host special events catered exclusively for Popular’s commercial and corporate clients.
- Maintain excellent relationship with internal employees and other producers to assure service within quality service standards.
- Prepare and deliver insurance proposals to prospective clients.
- Inform Management of any sales/services efforts and client’s complaints
- Assure that service to his/her clients is performed in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Strict compliance with service standards, sales practices procedures and Popular corporate rules.
Education
Experience
Three (3) years of related experience in sales plan design, techniques to gain new clients and negotiations. Working knowledge with financial needs analysis. Insurance licenses required. Experience in cross selling, consultative sales, proposals preparation and oral presentation. Ability to give necessary follow-up to requirements and implementation plans.
Certifications / Licenses
Property & Casualty License is required.

- Enhanced leadership skills: facilitate effective interactions among team members and maximize team work by delegating tasks and providing direction when needed. Serve as mentor to team members, promoting knowledge transfer and team member’s development.
- Excellent verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills.
- Intermediate/advance oral and written proficiency in Spanish and English (demonstrates group presentation skills, presents numerical data effectively and writes clearly and informative).
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Intermediate/advance proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access.

Work Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Must be available to work extended hours, holidays and weekends

A recruiting bonus of $1,000 will be disbursed upon completion of the 3-month anniversary; eligible positions only.
