General Description

Provides guidance on operational risks and controls, and the factors to consider when determining the likelihood, and the impact and effectiveness of the controls, regulations, compliance issues that may impact the Unit.  Supervises and coordinates work of the employees as well as processes and operations within the Operational Units.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.  BA in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assigns unit’s workflow and priorities.
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, particularly in BSA (money laundering)
  • Develop, execute, and manage testing project plans, timelines, and dependencies in accordance with end-user specifications.
  • Reviews, reports to end-user and approves test results.
  • Track and monitor defects to closure. Analyze the issue to determine if the problem is an application issue, user issue, training issue, data issue or a software defect.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify root cause and transfer ownership of the issues to appropriate owners and drive complex issues to resolution.
  • Participates in the onboarding requirements and documentation process as required.
  • Follows-up user’s implementation processes such as change management to assure completeness.
  • Maintains rolling forecast of unit’s budget.
  • Work in completing appraisal process of Compliance performance.
  • Maintain a timely Periodic Reviews process
  • Continue to evaluate the structure and uniform processes between BPPR and PCB
  • Assist in Internal Audit and RRT comments follow-up and implementation
  • Assist and provide guidance in auditing process that apply to Unit. 

Experience

3 year experience in a compliance, quality and risk environment is preferred.  Experience working in Banking industry is preferred.
