Banco Popular de Puerto Rico has one position available in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a Process Improvement Engineer Advisor. We are seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Industrial Engineering and 24 months of experience in identifying, designing, implementing and monitoring the sustainability and impact of performance improvement transformation projects. The salary for this position is $109,803.00.
The Process Improvement Engineer Advisor is assigned to work in the Bank’s Division responsible for transforming the Bank’s operational processes, in order to improve overall customer satisfaction while making processes simpler and more efficient. The Process Improvement Engineer Advisor leads and manages the execution of the process improvement initiatives. The main duties of this position are: Lead and execute process optimization projects by influencing cross-functional teams to deliver tangible business results through the application of methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking, Project Management and other process improvements techniques and tools, and ascertain sustainability of process improvement; identify and redesign processes that are critical to business lines; lead the execution of process improvements projects throughout the organization to promote a culture focused on continuous processes optimization that simplifies operations across the Corporation and impact the Bank’s internal and external customers; understand current business needs and develop strategies to provide solutions focused on achieving the established objectives; analyze data using quantitative methods to facilitate analysis and identification of process improvements solutions; provide support to business units in the sustainability of completed process improvements projects and to promote a continuous improvement mindset; identify how processes can be mapped and optimized using more effective technology, partnering with technology teams as well as redesigning processes using process improvement methodologies; ensure that all process documentation is completed and updated to ascertain process optimization sustainability; lead efficiency events at a strategic level using process improvement tools such as Design Thinking, Kaizen events or 5S; develop Lean and Six Sigma capabilities through coaching and mentoring; design trainings for resources involved in a process redesign and prepare corporate presentations on implementation and sustainability strategies for the initiative; develop execution plan to improve flow of products, people and information; follow and observe all applicable regulatory requirements such as Risk, Compliance and Audit or any applicable policy.
Candidates must have formal education on Project Administration, Project Evaluation, Robotics and Human Behavior of Organizations, and certifications in: (i) Business Project Management and Direction and (ii) EDX’s Microsoft DAT207x:Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI Certification.
