General Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing, managing, and successfully completing projects and initiatives, primarily related to authentication and business transformation efforts.
- Develop and review project proposals to define objectives, requirements, scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resource needs, and implementation strategies.
- Establish and manage project timelines, maintain accurate documentation, and proactively monitor, report, and communicate project progress.
- Identify, assess, and document potential risks and issues, including their impact on the Corporation, while recommending mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations highlighting financial and operational results, achievements, project risks, initiative progress, and the overall fraud prevention roadmap.
- Collaborate extensively with business units across Popular and serve as a liaison with the centralized Fraud Unit to ensure alignment, communication, and successful execution of initiatives.
- Apply relevant information, policies, regulations, and industry standards to support decision-making and ensure compliance with operational and corporate guidelines.
- Ensure adequate resource allocation and availability, escalating complex issues when appropriate and providing recommendations to facilitate timely resolution.
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the incumbent may lead cross-functional teams and coordinate the work of others to achieve project objectives.

- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written).
- Fast learner, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and effectively negotiate resources and timelines when necessary.
- Highly proficient in project management principles, including scope, schedule, budget, resource management, and timely project delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain productive partnerships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to diverse audiences and senior management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- General knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, fraud prevention practices, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
