General Description

This role involves clerical and intricate work with legal documents and agencies/administrative documentation, requiring a keen eye for detail and an understanding of commercial and residential real estate frameworks (Title, CRIM and HOA).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate and process legal documents, including judicial/agency documentation, title studies, HOA certifications, and CRIM documentation, to determine eligibility for title insurance policies.
Assist in the due diligence and clearance process of properties (CRIM, Karibe, SUMAC)
Assist in the development of internal reports.
Answering incoming calls.
Generating calls and emails to HOAs and government agencies.
Assist in the management of external lawyers and suppliers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

+ 60 Bachelor's degree credits approved in Business Administration or related area.

 

Experience

Minimum of one year in an administrative capacity, preferably in a law office or financial (bank/mortgage/property management) setting.

 

Certifications/Licences:

 

Paralegal, desired but not required.
Title Investigator, desired but not required.
Property Management, desired but not required.

Background in legal studies, such as a Paralegal certification or Juris Doctor degree (in process or completed).

Other Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise and implement alternative solutions.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in various office software, including Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Internet tools.
Familiarity with real estate operations, and a reasonable understanding of property, municipal codes, notarial laws, and regulations.
Demonstrated ability in project coordination, including business needs assessment, work planning, time management, resource allocation, and team leadership.
Strong competencies in accountability, analytical discipline, business excellence, change management, character, and collaboration.
