General Description

Lead Popular Fiduciary Services retirement plan clients through the documentation onboarding process, and amendments in retirement plans design. Assist parallel units with the execution of operational, compliance, and regulatory tasks in addition to providing support to strategic projects related to the Retirement Plans Services business unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a service of excellence and trust as the first contact of Popular with prospects and existing clients.
  • Ensure the onboarding and plan changes experience meets the client’s expectations and that the processes are completed within the predefined timeframes.
  • Pay attention to detail in the documentation process during onboarding and amendments to existing plans.
  • Comply with all regulatory and the division’s required documentation for new, transferred, and existing plans.
  • Coordinate with clients plan design calls for new plans and for amendments for plans under the Popular Master Plan and prepare and provide educational/service presentations to clients.
  • Prepare, organize, and file all plan documents with the Department of the Treasury within the established timeframe for Plans under the Popular Master Plan (new and amendments).
  • Perform quality checks to ensure plans are configured in the system as designed.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert in the Popular Master Plan and provide guidance to other Trust Account Officers.
  • Periodically meet with clients to assist in Plan Design and changes.
  • Work assigned special projects.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration

Experience

Two to three years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)

  • Knowledge of Relius application (desired)
  • Knowledge of Puerto Rico Revenue Code
  • High level of organization to set priorities, work with multiple simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines and stay flexible to changes
  • Ability to analyze situations, anticipate problems, evaluate options, and make timely decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate service attitude, both for clients, colleagues, supervisors, and managers
  • Proficiency in the use and management of personal computers and Microsoft Office programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in English and Spanish
