General Description

We are looking for a Salesforce Solutions Architect that is passionate about design solutions driving business value across multiple lines of business in alignment with application modernization strategies & capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture design and implementation in collaboration with domain architects.
  • Communicate technical things with businesspeople and business things with technical people; able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
  • Leading without line authority –able to lead small development teams with project resources that report elsewhere.
  • Responsible for architecting solutions for each of the functional areas within their respective domain(s) or business horizontal(s).
  • Responsible for understanding dependencies between technology platforms and product(s) required to deliver a specified business solution.
  • Understand potential impacts of proposed solutions on other systems, processes, or projects. Assist teams by providing appropriate direction, design considerations, tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (cont.)

  • Develop knowledge of current and emerging technologies. Identify new and emerging solutions, assesses their relevance and potential value to the organization and provide recommendations to teammates and management.
  • Works closely with partners inside and outside IT and across business communities in assessing technology requirements and identifying potential technology solutions, always assessing existing technology investments as a first step.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams for developing and implementing new processes, standards, and high-level requirements. Works in conjunction with applications, security, legal, compliance, operations, engineering, and other areas, as necessary.
  • Designs, develops, modifies, and adapts short and long-term solutions to information technology (IT) assessing new and existing applications and systems architecture.
  • Applies business expertise to business problems to create high level application and end user system requirements.
  • Contributes to the creation of business-driven technology roadmaps.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University/College in Information Systems or related fields

Experience

5+ years of professional experience in one or a combination of the following areas: application architecture, application development, cloud-native technologies, integration architecture, IT infrastructure and operations for Salesforce.

Certifications / Licenses

Certifications are highly desirable but not required.

  • Salesforce Solutions Architect

  • Strong business acumen: ability to understand the needs and concerns of business stakeholders and colleagues and respond promptly and effectively to stakeholder requests.  Ability to conduct analysis on work procedures, business results, and recommends changes to improve the effectiveness of the business's management.
  • Communication skills: effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.  Highly develop written and verbal communications skills in English.  Presents numerical data effectively. Superior communication and interpersonal skills.  Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.  Polished in preparing presentations, executive summaries, and business reports in English for executive audiences.
  • Analytical skills: Stays focused on main issues, prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with timely completion of assignments.  Collects, research and complements data; Synthesizes complex or diverse information.  Demonstrates attention to detail; Applies design principles; Generate creative solutions.  Strong quantitative, research and analytical skills.  Experience with data analysis, persuasive and informative writing, workload management, and process management.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's cont.)

  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize and work with multiple projects and tasks with minimum supervision; self-direct and task switch between strategic and tactical initiatives regularly. Capacity to achieve results according to plan ensuring the expected quality. Excellent organization capacity to define priorities, meet deadlines, and flexible to change.  Knowledge on project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management and status reports.  Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
  • Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge on budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, and regulations. Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly.
  • Computer and Technological Skills: Proficient in MS Office 365 such as: MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio. Experience with tracking and project management tools such as: JIRA; data visualization and design tools such as: Power BI, Canva among others is desired.
