Seasonal HR Specialist - Learning & Development

 

General Description


Implements and manages learning and development initiatives mainly associated to the implementation of new system and applications.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

As a Learning and Development Broker, the candidate will be carrying out, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze the viability of new learning and development needs.
  • Define applicability of learning plan, present findings, and recommendations to breach identified gaps.
  • Lead and collaborate in learning projects with the project owners, system | application experts and external consultants, if applicable.
  • Develop, manage, and execute a thorough work plan for all training projects.
  • Align project plan with client’s expectations to define methodology, key performance indicators, logistics, and budget, among others.
  • Monitor plan execution and ensure progress monitoring and reporting to client, stakeholders, and Learning & Development management.
  • Negotiate when needed, plan timeline, resources, or others to ensure project delivery is as expected by client and shareholders.
  • Design and develop training content using different methodologies such as: Instructor-Led, virtual, e-learning, social media, simulations, quick reference guides, and infographics, among others.
  • Manage the relationship with external providers effectively, ensuring that contracted services are delivered accordingly.
  • Reporting of assigned projects’ and trainings’ key performance indicators (KPI’s) periodically (monthly, quarterly) and summarize into one pagers, presentations or as needed.

 

 


Education


Associate Degree or higher in Business Administration with concentration on Human Resources, Information System and Project Management is preferred or Masters in Arts in Industrial Psychology.  

Other concentrations in education may be evaluated with experience equivalence.

 

 

Experience


A minimum of two (2) years of experience in capability building, process improvement, project management, development and implementation of action plans, corporate/strategic level responsibilities and/or management consulting. 
Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles and facilitation is desired.
Experience in systems implementation.

 

 

Other Qualifications

 

  • Technology savviness: Have the right skills, practical and intuitive knowledge to operate technology and systems.

  • Instructional design: Knowledge in developing content using practical and varied adult learning methodologies

  • Computer and technological skills: Advanced proficiency in the Office 365 (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word) and other presentation software.  Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (Success Factors is a plus).  A high level of proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond and SAP Enable Now.

  • Project Management: Ability to work with multiple projects and tasks with minimum supervision.  Capacity to achieve results according to plan ensuring the expected quality. Excellent organization capacity to define priorities, meet deadlines, and flexible to change.  Knowledge on project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management and status reports.  Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.

  • Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge on budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, and regulations.  Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly, and implement changes.
