General Description

Conducts audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations and processes. .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts the assigned audits of Popular Inc. and its subsidiaries, including key financial, regulatory and operational controls. Performs audit procedures to ensure adequate recording of transactions and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations. Examine department activities to evaluate risk exposures regarding the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information. Documents result of audit procedures to discuss with the Audit Manager and Assistant General Auditor. Assist in the preparation of audit reports and recommendations to management. Collaborate with external auditors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience

Four years related experience.

Certifications / Licenses

CPA

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
