General Description


Responsible for managing Compliance Reviews including, but not limited to: formal examination risk assessment programs designed to assess the effectiveness of the regulatory compliance programs and validating business line adherence to applicable Laws, Regulations, and Guidance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities  


  • Directly supervises a group of Compliance Officers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Reviews work program, testing and final report performed by the Compliance Officers.
  • Collaborate in the creation of monthly and quarterly management reports.
  • Participate in developing a review work plan based on the results of the annual compliance risk assessment.
  • Managing to test schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes.
  • Conduct reviews to assure ongoing compliance with Consumer Federal and Local regulations.
  • Develop assessments work programs establishing the procedures to be followed to conduct the review and tailored to the applicable compliance policies and procedures.
  • Researches regulatory law, recent or proposed changes, guidance and interpretations as part of the Compliance Review planning process.
  • Maintain the assessment programs updated with the latest regulatory and procedural changes.
  • Comply with the established working paper standards as to documentation of findings.
  • Revises and writes Compliance Assessment Reports for senior and executive management that summarizes the scope of work performed, findings, and any regulatory exceptions.
  • Follow up the report response from the unit manager, review the report response for completeness and accuracy and follow up those findings that were referred to the units reviewed.
  • Ability to understand and interpret various laws, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to apply knowledge of regulations to numerous types of activities and operational arrangements in addition to interpreting the effect of new regulations on these activities





Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.




At least three to five years related experience in Audit and Compliance, preferably in banking industry.
