Full-Time Opportunity (Hybrid)
General Description
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Division. In this position, you will be working towards translating systems integration needs into policies and standards and technical/operational requirements in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture and Information Security strategic vision. Strong verbal, written, and documentation skills are required for this position, both in Spanish and English.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Requirements, Analysis, and Design:
- Analyze and develop standards, processes, and controls related to integrations in different technologies such as Event Driven and API's, both on-prem and cloud-based.
- Conduct interviews and design work sessions with business partners and team members.
- Meet with subject matter experts to gather technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into requirements designed to implement integration patterns and solutions.
- Perform gap analysis of integration needs based on Popular's technology strategy vision.
- Document technical solution evaluations
- Work closely with Popular's integrations, technical domain, and solutions architects to analyze current and future integration needs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
Recommended Certifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate
Experience
- Required
- Minimum 2 years of business analysis experience.
- Minimum 3 years of information technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and/or software development experience.
- Recommended:
- 1+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- API development and/or consumption experience
- Experience in AWS management and configuration tools and services such as AWS Management Console and AWS CLI, among others.
Recommended Information Technology Skills
- Design/drawing skills (Visio, DrawIO, Lucid Chart, etc.).
- Scripting and SQL language knowledge
Recommended Business Analysis Skills
- Working as a self-driven resource who knows how to learn independently and when to ask for direction/guidance from architects.
- Ability to effectively translate between business and technical stakeholders.
- Experienced in creating and maintaining relationships with business departments.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies.
- Ability to conceptualize and think creatively.
- Experience in various requirement elicitation techniques such as interviews, workshops, brainstorming, storyboards, use cases, prototyping, etc.
- Good group facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Business Process Analysis, Requirements Gathering, and Functional Design.
- Excellent technical diagnosis and analytical skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to balance multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment.
